Reports to:                 Board of directors
Hours:                         40 per week

Salary:                         £20,000 per annum
Support:                      Internal:          Bar staff, kitchen staff, directors
                                      External:          Customers, suppliers, sites staff, artists
                       
SUMMARY
Effectively support the B-Bar by procuring beverage ingredients, condiments, supplies, and equipment; creating drink menus; generating revenues; providing social experiences and entertainment; satisfying customers; managing bar staff and ensuring the highest level of legislative compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Leadership and people
Manage a team of bar and waiting staff, provide staffing to cover kitchen and outside events as necessary.
Responsible for recruiting and providing training to staff as required. Scheduling rotas, monitoring and appraising, enforcing policies and procedures.

Communications and relationships
Promote the B-Bar through face-to-face interactions with customers and train staff to maintain the same high standard.
Work with suppliers to ensure best quality and prices.
Nurture relationships with our partners and seek to create new business opportunities with others.

Knowledge and experience
Experience of working unsupervised and using own initiative.
Knowledge of local bar/restaurant/music scene.

Training/Qualifications
UK/EU driving licence.
Qualification in or demonstrable equivalent working knowledge of IT systems, spreadsheets, email, internet etc.
Preferably a personal licence holder.

Planning and organisational skills
Follow best practise and procedures.
Comply with Health & Safety requirements.
Keep up to date with and ensure other legislative standards are met.

Physical skills and effort
This role will require moderate physical effort including a lot of time standing and standard keyboard skills.

Accountability, autonomy and judgement
Accountable for own and others results at agreed intervals.
Freedom to act within agreed parameters, making judgements involving a range of facts or situations that require analysis and comparison of a range of options.

Financial, physical and information resources
Responsible for handling cash, equipment and sensitive data. Able to meet financial objectives, plan budgets, schedule expenditures and analyse variances.

Making proposals for policies within own work area and the team.
